Diagnosis and treatment.
We also see adults with residual deformity from congenital clubfoot. This assessment is part of our specialist foot care and is not limited to patients starting treatment in childhood.
The first appointment reviews how the foot has developed, previous treatments and the patient's current concerns. Dr Anna Ey sees patients from Spain and other countries.
You can bring reports of previous treatments and operations, together with any imaging you already have. The team will let you know if additional documentation is needed before the consultation.
Treatment options and goals are explained after an individual assessment. Not every foot needs the same intervention, and complete correction cannot be promised without examining the case.
If you have residual clubfoot deformity in adulthood or are seeking a second assessment after previous treatments, you can contact the team to arrange a consultation.
Previously treated or operated feet
We review the history of the foot and previous treatments. Having undergone surgery does not replace a current examination or allow us to predict which options will be appropriate.
An individual plan, not a childhood protocol
Adult care is adapted to the current condition of the foot and each person's needs. Casting, tenotomy and follow-up schedules described for children do not automatically apply to an adult patient.
How it is assessed
The consultation includes medical history, examination of the foot and review of available reports. Mobility, weight-bearing and current difficulties are assessed to explain which options can be considered and their limitations.
